outfit essentials - a little wish list

Hallo Hallo!

[scroll down for English]

DE - Oha was isn jetzt los?

ENHello everyone!
Okay guys, just so you know what's going on above: I've decided to blog in my mothertongue too. Starting from today you will find my texts in English and German so nobody's excluded.

Anyways, now for something more important: Shopping!
When I was younger I remember my mum regularly receiving the Witt-Weiden catalogue - made of real paper and, yes, in the mail (that's how old I am!). The other day I discovered that this company still exists. They are a bit more modern and have some lovely clothes and home textiles! I've put together a little wishlist with my favourites (owls! nude tones! plaid!).
While the whole world is waiting for spring, here in Down Under autumn is approaching fast so I made the wishlist an "autumn edition".

All the items above can be found on witt-weiden.de!

Have a lovely day!

PersunMall autumn/winter wishlist

Hi guys!

It's the middle of the week already and here in Düsseldorf summer doesn't want to give up, so the temperatures have been rising again lately. Despite the unsteady summer I'm already ready for autumn! I have been browsing the web for some nice autumn pieces and fortunately was contacted by PersunMall to take a look at their site. They have tons of lovely items, so I put together a little wish list of what I would love to get for transition and the coming autumn/winter season.

These are definitely some really cute pieces I would rock for autumn/winter. I especially need to stock up on cozy scarves and a pretty wool coat.
What are your wishes for the colder season clothing-wise? How do you like my selection?
If you're in the mood for (window) shopping you should definitely head over and check out PersunMall's online shop. You can also follow them on Facebook or read their blog.

Have a lovely day!

favourite february pieces

Hello guys!

I had absolutely no money to go shopping this month, but I have a couple of nice things lined up on my wish list that might be purchased next month - at least some of them. Can't wait for the next payday, seriously.
Until then I can dream...

Oh if I could only buy them all....
Well, let's see what'll be in the mail next month.

Have a nice day guys!

this year's first fall wishlist

Hi guys!

This is a planned post that publishes itself automatically while I'm on holiday in Barcelona (expect lots of lovely photos!).

As fall is drawing nearer fast now I thought it's time for the first fall wishlist 2012. I have lost some weight over the last 6 months, sorted out clothes a lot lately and now it's time for some brandnew wish-they-were-mine pieces for the wardrobe!

What do you want for your fall wardrobe?
Have a lovely day!

summer 2012 wishlist

Hi guys!

I haven't posted a wishlist for quite some time, so here is what I'd like to have for summer and, yes I'm already thinking further, for fall/winter this year.
You know I'm usually a thrifty one, but here I put together a list of "rather expensive" pieces (by my standards at least). I have come to the decision that getting as many pieces as possible for your money is a good thing, but that you also should invest in certain items (like they always say in the magazines, e.g. about trenchcoats and whatnot).
It's true, I've noticed that since I invested a small fortune in my full leather Liebeskind bag, for which I'd have normally gotten... ehm, let's say five bags (or even more, calculated after my normal shopping habits).
But enough rambling, here is the list.

1) Minnetonka Folklore moccasin cognac
2) Soludos Aztec navy white

1) Free People Lohri Embroidered Tote
2) Liebeskind Amina satchel

1) Ray Ban New Wayfarer blue rubber
2) Shwood Canby Zebrawood grey

1) Derbe Hamburg Derbe Friese Maid Jacket olive
2) St-Martins Elmwood Parka

I desperately need them all. Hope I'll be able to get some these pieces in the course of the coming months...

Have a lovely day! :)

latest magazine finds: a wishlist

Hi guys!

I am one of these persons that browse through different kinds of magazines - mostly fashion and lifestyle ones - from time to time and whenever I see something interesting, I make a dog-ear. I collect these magazines with the dog-ears for a while an then one fine afternoon I sit down and go through them again to put together a little wishlist for the next months.
I have never made a post about this, so I thought it was time. ;)

Found in the recent Zalando magazine (no. 1, spring 2012):

Link

1. Maison Scotch t-shirt
2. mint & berry denim jacket
3. Head over Heels flats

Found in the recent German Joy magazine (April 2012):

1. book "Grow Up" by Ben Brooks
2. book "When God Was A Rabbit" by Sarah Winman
3. book "The Tiger's Wife" by Tea Obreht

4. PiP Studios handbag
5. Asos straw satchel
6. Tamaris shoes

Found in the recent German Glamour (April 2012):

1. Artdeco "Make-Up Base"
2. Paul & Joe Maison collection

Aaah so many pretty things!
Due to my upcoming Ireland holiday, there's a yawning void in my bank account... but maybe I'll be able to treat myself with some of the things above in the course of the next months.

How do you like these items? Any favourites?

Have a nice day! :)

Hi guys!

Oh how inspired I am by all these lovely fall wishlists I saw around the blogosphere lately. The post that inspired me the most was the wishlist of Little Chief Honeybee, it's full of delightful pieces. I started to browse the online shops again to put together some things for fall myself and found some lust-worthy stuff. I need to win the lottery soon...

1) Outfitters Nation "Casey" cardigan 2) Pimkie rust colored dress 3) Promod 70s faux leather bag 4) Monki "Leaf" necklace 5) MiMaMeise redbreast ring 6) H&M faux fur hat 7) Modcloth "Head Down Umbrella Up" umbrella 8) Hunter navy boots

1) H&M plaid shirt 2+3) Pimkie mustard scarf and hat 4) Mint&Berry olive chinos 5) Fjällräven "Greenland" Parka 6) Amused by Ameko bag 7) Verabel "The Kaleidoscope Locket" necklace 8) Lulu's "Miss Me Ponie" boots 9) Monki "Polly" socks

I could go on like that for hours....... Sigh.... ;)

a spring wishlist

Hi guys!

Have you missed my wishlists? I posted a couple of them last year, then I needed a break from compensating my shopping lust into thousands of wishlists and now I feel like posting another one again, especially because spring has sprung. This warmer weather makes me wanna live in jeggings and loose shirts.
Here are some of the pretty pieces I came across in different online shops. It's my birthday next month, so maybe I'll even get one or two of these...

H&M

(article site here)

I fell in love with this at first sight! When I turned the page of the H&M spring/summer catalogue and glimpsed this adorable checkered dress for the first time I knew I had to have it! But unfortunately H&M has not established the price in my favor. 29,95€ is a bit much for H&M standards isn't it? So now I'm hoping for a pre-summer sale or something...

Modcloth

(article site here)

The "Misty Sequoias Tunic" landed on my wishlist immediately. I've said it before: I want to live in jeggings and loose shirts, especially if the shirt is as pretty as this one here! I love the simplicity and the change from moss green to beige-white.

(article site here)

Of course I also have to mention at least one Modcloth dress on my wishlist (secretly I wish I could afford a dozen of their beautiful dresses or more...). So here it is, the perfect bird print dress called "Aviary Enthusiast" that totally enchants me with it's lovely colours and vintage vibe. I also saw it on Rebecca of The Clothes Horse today and was simply amazed. What a perfect dress!

Zara

(article site here)

I've always wanted a darkblue handbag. A pretty one. Now Zara has it: a perfect shade of darkblue, a good size for uni and work (DIN A4-suitable), made of genuine leather, what more can I ask for? I love it. And even although I'm a chintzy person I have to say that 79,95€ is still okay for a leather bag. Not ideal but okay.

Asos

(article site here)

Okay, this is something that will probably stay on this wishlist because I'm too chintzy to spend 98,40€ on a simple coat. But I want to be able to keep it in mind in case I ever happen to have enough money left, so I post it here. I adore the classic timeless caramel-brown and the clean and chic look with a touch of 60s mod feel. Plus I think this might be very flattering for my bodyshape.

(article site here)

Furthermore when I browsed Asos I got stuck on these Diesel boots. I don't really know why because I hate cowboy boots, they make most people look like dorks (remember Ted's red cowboy boots in "How I Met Your Mother"?)... but this modern flat streetwear version of classic cowboy boots is different. I really like these and I bet they would look lovely with skinny jeans and a cozy oversized sweater or poncho.

Etsy

Both necklaces and other gorgeous designs can be found at Verabel.
I found this shop via a link at Tumblr or so and I was so stunned by the beautiful designs that I clicked around in the shop for at least 30 minutes. They sell mostly lockets, painted with ethnic patterns, birds, ships... I really adore them!

Another awesome Etsy shop I found is I Heart Norwegian Wood, a Canadian shop that sells pieces with lovely prints and patterns. Their range goes from tops and skirts over harnesses and jewelry to colourful crazy pants and leggings. I especially love the two pieces above: the "Landscape t Dress" and the "Abstract Mesh Luxe Collection Leggings". Everything in the shop is self-designed, made with love and looks a tad vintage-wise.

Hm the world is full of pretty things, no? :)
I hope you liked this little trip through some of my favourite online shops.

Have a wonderful day!

Another "pretty things" post

Hi guys!

It's about time for another one of my pretty-things-I-found-when-browsing-DaWanda posts today :)

I know, I know it's almost Christmas and everyone's (nearly) broke, but hey me too. So let's just admire and dream of these:

1. The "Myrea" pixie crown headband from Miss Cherry Blossom
Isn't it magical? After winter will come spring...

2, The "Wool Puff Paste Sleeves Coat" from Lizi
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I especially love this kind of shawl collar!

3. The "Leaves Collection wrapping paper" from Smil
Eventhough fall is over (at least here in Germany) I still love to see fallen leaves :)

4. The "Vintage Owls scarf" from Pension
As you might already know: I ♥ anything that has owls on it!

5. "Paperdoll El Luchador" from White Monkey
How cool! I've never had a weightlifter paperdoll when I was younger!

6. "Book Wall Lamp" from Royal Wings
Oh my God, I wish I had this on the wall over my bed!

7. "Rawwr means... shirt" from Cute MonstR
Tihihih cute! :D

8. "Booty Pouch Bag" from AlbinoBerlin
Aw pretty! I want! A girl can never own enough bags anyway!

Hope you enjoyed this little wishlist.
Have a great day!
