off to the countryside

[EN] Hi folks!

This post here is a pre-scheduled one as I'm already off to the countryside now.
If you're a regular reader you might already know but I'll still give you guys an update on my situation: I came to Australia in November last year on a Working Holiday Visa which enables me to live and work here for 12 months. I have the option to extend this visa for a second year but can only do that if I work in the countryside for 88 days. It is called "regional work", can only be done in rural areas outside of the big cities and has to be somekind of labouring job like fruit picking, farm work, construction etc.
I got really lucky because I found a horse farm not far from Perth where I can be a general farm hand for a while. I'll do what is called Wwoofing, meaning it'll be work in exchange for accommodation and food instead of being paid.
After the office job I have done for the last five months it'll be a nice change to not sit on my butt all day. I'm looking forward to using my whole body again, not just my head, and to being outside in the fresh air all day. Furthermore there'll be horsies, doggies and kitties, so it can't really get any better than that.

[EN] These photos are actually from two weeks ago (wow, time flies!) when we had very windy and cold autumn weather here in Perth. You can't really see it in the pics but it was so stormy that I could hardly look at the camera without having my hair blown all over my face.
The outfit is simple and comfy with one of my favourite jumpers and one of my favourite jackets too. Both very versatile pieces I love to wear.

  6. I've never seen you smile big like that before! (second pic from the last)! SO cool you're going to do horse farm stuff! When were were dating, my husband use to work for a lady who had teeny tiny miniature horses. His job was to take care of them and prep them for kids birthday parties in exchange for cheap room and board.
