The Aquarium of Western Australia

- For ENGLISH scroll down please! -

Gute Nacht!

[EN] Hello loves!

I got hooked on one of these stupid pawn shop shows on TV and now it's already late. I really wanted to publish this post before going to bed though, so here's the background story: Last Sunday Jarryd surprised me with a trip to AQWA The Aquarium of Western Australia. That was such a good idea and so nice of him!
The aquarium is located in Perth's beautiful suburb Hillarys which is directly by the sea. They even offer diving adventures with turtles, sharks and rays there if you pay a bit more. We, however, decided to just pay the normal entry fees and stay dry.

What I found really amazing was their so called shipwreck coast aquarium, which you can enter by foot or on a moving walkway belt conveyor thingy. You are slowly carried through a round underwater plexiglas tunnel that makes it look like you are standing right in the middle of the open sea. It was SO cool!

I love underwater documentariess, I always watch them on YouTube. This time it felt like I was part of such a documentary myself.
And now I let the pictures speak.

Good night!

  7. Whhaaat a whole shipwreck coast section?! That's so awesome- the aquarium in Chicago only has like boring trout and turtles -__- My favorite part would probably be the jellyfish. Those suckers are so mesmerizing.

PS definitely laughed at the pawn show thing- my parents are the saaaame way. I get the struggle ;)
