Hi guys!
Today I have another (photo-heavy) food post, yaayy ;) Yes, all I do in my life is stuffing my face with yummy things.
This morning I invited my Mum to an extensive Sunday brunch as a belated birthday gift. Her boyfriend and his son joined us, only Patrick couldn't come because of his band rehearsal. We went to the Schwan, a café in the old town near the Rhine. We ate soo much, enjoyed the good coffee there and had a real good time.
sweet and hearty, a bit of everything
The buffet was amazing. Bread, rolls, cold cuts, yoghurt, cornflakes, sausages, scrambled eggs and so on... We went to fill our plates with delicacies four or five times - with several breaks in-between (the brunch time was from 10 to 3). I tell you, that's how every Sunday should start, I could get used to it.
It also was a nice snugly atmosphere there. Simple but pretty interior with some accents like shabby chic chandeliers or golden mirrors on the walls and dark red curtains.
After our last cup of coffee we were completely stuffed and decided to take a walk through the little old town lanes to walk the meals off a bit. It was wonderful mild weather, the sun shone into the street canyons and created awesome shadow plays with the trees and street lamps. I snapped at the chance to take photos of my mother in her beautiful new dress. She normally wears maxi skirts or dresses because she feels embarrassed about her varices but with her new tights she finally dares to wear knee-length pieces and she looks amazing in them.

Our little walk actually turned into a kind of sightseeing tour because on our way we passed by all the important buildings and other sights. One of the city's oldest breweries, the biggest of our art museums, the longest pub street, the shopping avenue, several fountains, statues and all. Me and Mum's boyfriend could tell the others a bit about everything, he knows even more about Düsseldorf than me because he used to live here for 20 years when he was younger.

Yep, that was my Sunday. The rest of the day consists of blogging (obviously), preparing Ebay auctions, watching a movie with Patrick and ironing the clothes. And tomorrow is a holiday, woohoo! I think we'll go somewhere nice, maybe to the zoo or something. We'll decide this spontaneously.
Have a wonderful Sunday! :)
