sandy moccasins

Hi guys!

How are you today?
I'm enjoying my afternoon by browsing the internet, sipping on a café latte after I slept in until 12 because it's Ascension Day, that is a day off in most Christian countries.
The rest of today is planned to be rather uneventful as I'll have to clean up the apartment a bit and pack my suitcase for my weekend trip to Berlin. I'm, so looking forward to it, yaayy! :)
I won a trip to the first European blogger conference including the train rides and accommodation in a very fancy hotel and I am able to bring a friend too - lucky me!

♥ hat + necklace: accessorize ♥ cardi: c&a ♥ shirt, belt + shoes: primark ♥ skirt: reserved ♥ bag: roxy ♥

These pictures were taken on Monday morning. After I had dropped Patrick at work, I still had some time until I had to go to work too, so I stopped at a nearby park and took some pics on the empty playground.
The outfit was perfect for that day, it was sunny but not too warm, hence the hat and tights. I've actually worn this combo of skirt, shirt and cardi a few months ago when I was in Budapest, but I didn't have the chance to photograph it there, so I wore it again and added some new elements like the hat and tote.
And the shoes! Omg they're my new absolute favourite shoes! I bought them at Primark in Ireland and have worn them a lot since then. I've always wanted moccasins since I first saw them on two of my favourite bloggers - Tieka of Selective Potential and Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky. These two ladies pull off their moccasins in all kinds of different looks and I've been wanting Minnetonkas for over a year now. But I'm just too thrifty... So I got me the cheaper Primark version instead and I love them dearly. They go with anything and look so cute! :)

Oh boy did I have sand in my shoes after this photoshoot!
It felt like I was carrying around half the sandpit in my flats. However it gave me a bit of a vacation feeling because it reminded me of the countless summers I used to spend at Dutch beaches with my parents when I was younger. :)
I remember my mum always taking off all our shoes and pouring out all the sand before getting in the car. This is something I've learned from her and still do today: always shake out your shoes after a walk through the woods or park or whatnot, before getting into the car. Thanks mum. ;)

Okay, that's it for today. I'll have to do a timetable and to-do list do get everything done today: pack the suitcase, iron some dresses, clean up kitchen and bath, prepare a brief plan for the weekend in Berlin etc. etc.
What are your plans for today and for the weekend? :)

Happy Thursday!
