Hi guys!
Wow time flies, it's April already!I didn't really have time for the blog since I came back home from Budapest last Friday. For all of you who don't know the story: I was on a business trip there to coach new student assistants for our marketing department. I've been there before and I really liek this city and my lovely co-workers at the Hungarian office, but let's put work aside. This time I also met someone who is not from the office... blogger meet-up!
I met the Budapestian fashion blogger Madeline Quaint! :)
She had first "found" me last year after I posted a bunch of photos from my first Budapest trip and we've been following each other's blog ever since. So we decided to meet and roam the city in search of good photo locations.
I love to mingle with locals in foreign cities, they can show you such great places that you wouldn't go yourself as a lonely tourist. We got along so well straightaway, it was so nice to spend time with her. I think it's because of the blogs: of course you don't really know other persons from reading their blogs, but it definitely gives you an idea of how they are and so you can evaluate in advance if you would like to meet or rather not.
Well, in this case it was a perfect ten because we have some similar interests and so we had a lot to chat and laugh about.
What I have learned from Madeline is that in Budapest you should never be afraid of peeking some of the old houses' courtyards, there could be lovely facades, cute little shops and other surprises hidden behind an alleyway.
we also visited one of my favourite places in Budapest: the beautiful Liberty Bridge. It such a fantastic place to take photos! I really like the panorama view on the Danube and both riversides from there and the ornamental green railing and bridge piers! The whole look of it is so picturesque.
So we went across the bridge to Buda and - as I had never been there and the weather was really nice -we decided to climb the stairs of Gellért Hill to see the view from there. God, I'm so unathletic, I hate climbing stairs - but it was totally worth it! We sat down on the observation deck and had our first ice cream of the year.
