castle district

Hi guys!

Today was lovely weather again so after sleeping in I got up and decided to go to Budapest's castle district. I've already been there last time and knew how pretty the lanes and buildings are, so I just had to get back to take some more photos.
This part of the city is called castle district because it's the area around Budavári Palota (the Buda Castle) that is located in the hills of the Buda side of the Danube. It's incredibly pretty there and you have the greatest view from everywhere there, especially from Fisherman's Bastion and from the paparet walks.
There were also many quiet non-tourist places where I could take pics with the self-timer without interruptions.

It was a bit stupid to wear tights today because we had 30 degrees here and I went out of the hotel right in the midday heat... note to self: air-conditioned hotel rooms can be deceiving...
Nevertheless it was okay because on the Buda hills there was a constant breeze blowing through the pretty cobblestone streets.
I actually was too lazy to walk all the way up, so I took one of the castle buses instead (fortunately they exist). When I got out at the Matthias Church there was a kind of local market and celebration going on with different book stands and all and the whole place was crowded with tourists -awesome. I took a quick look around, took some pics and headed for more idyllic spots.

Of course - again - I have some lovely pictures for you and I really hope you're not tired of Budapest impressions yet because I'm not, I enjoy taking as many photos here as possible :)
