Today I'm just dropping in to show you something awesome I found in a magazine. Remember these really cool wooden Wewood watches I posted some months ago? Well, I have found some amazing matching wooden sunglasses by a US brand called Shwood.
This Oregon-based brand offers a range of five different models (all available in three different grains) that are all 100% handcrafted and made of natural wood that is manipulated as little as possible. And the best about these sunnies? The wood gives them a fab retro vibe, they look extremely cool!
"A simple experiment with nature. Born from the limb of a Madrone tree, a rusty pair of cabinet hinges, and lenses from the corner store, Shwood has been a curious endeavor from the beginning. An endeavor to create a product that encompasses the individuality and uniqueness that can only be found in natural surroundings. A desire to experiment with design, materials, and aesthetics in the search for something that works. Free from passing trends, the brand’s focus remains that of its roots, innovation and creation. Long live creativity."
I love wooden accessories a lot! And what I also love is the natural coolness these sunglasses add to a hippiesque summer outfit. Imagine an ethno-print maxi skirt, a breezy white blouse, some necklaces and bangles, long hair, feathers and one of these wooden babies - I can see it clearly in my mind and it would look wonderful!

An interesting brand, isn't it?
And even if the prices are higher than what is my normal price limit for sunglasses I'd say that 145$ are not too much for a unique handcrafted piece made of natural wood paired with high quality Carl Zeiss lenses.
What do you say? Likey?
Have a nice day!
