light strikes a deal with each coming night

Hi guys!

How have you been?
This is the first morning of my week off that is like I planned every morning of this week to be. I got up at 8 am, which to me is the perfect time to get up on a day off because it's not too early and not too late, you're not tired from sleeping too little and not tired from sleeping too long. I slipped into something comfortable, got me some coffee and marmelade sandwiches, curled up in my comfy desk chair and started blogging while listening to Iron & Wine.
Could a morning be more relaxed?

When I look behind me I can see bright sunshine coming into the living room through the kitchen door, that has been a rare sight lately. I'm looking forward to visiting my mum later on, we'll go to my grandma at the retirement home to have cake and coffe with her. Due to her dementia she probably won't understand why we're there but I know she'll be happy about the sunshine when we take her to the garden for a little walk. She always was a gardening freak, so sometimes she seems to remember her garden when she's outside and then she says something gardening-related about the weather.
I need to take my camera with me. I always have the feeling I have to take as many photos of her as possible because we all don't know much how long she'll be with us.
It's going to be a three generations photoshoot again ;)

Oh see, the sun has already hidden behind clouds again as soon as I finished this passage above, typical. Have you people out there also experienced such a crazy weather for the summer months lately? I mean, I can only repeat that I'm not complaining because this is the first summer for years that I have no hay fever, no sunburn and that I'm not sweating like hell everyday, so I totally love it! But it's just strange compared to last summer when we had three or four weeks of 35°C in a row.
Yesterday Patrick told me something he had heard on the radio: the four seasons will be renamed soon into spring, asshole, autumn and winter. How about that? ;)

Btw the outfit is from yesterday, I wore it for a shopping spree. later on I had to change into pants because it was too windy and there were too many Marilyn Monroe moments with this skirt. I think for today I'll stick to pants again. Damn wind...

Have a nice day!

  1. Süßes Outfit. Die Kette habe ich auch :-) Hab noch eine mit nem Hirsch drauf gekauft, auch sehr ähnlich. Ich mag halt auch nostalgische Tiermotive.

I love visiting with my grandma, she's 70 and still kickin! She works almost 70 hours a week AND keeps up a garden still on top of that! I hope you have a wonderful time with your mom and her, I know I always do with mine<3<3
